hardier breed of American. The picture below is supposed to be Grant Field (Georgia Tech) during the 1918 Spanish flu epidemic

Of course, Niner would tell us that native Georgians are much more hardy than the average non Georgian

Heck, I wouldn't go with hardy or hardier ... the average lifespan in 1917 was 48 years. After the epidemic, it dropped to 36.

And certainly not handier.

As Red green said, it pays to be handy if you can’t be handsome.

I hear a lot goobers spouting spanish flu this spanish flu that and they don't knows beans from baloney about it. Mostly hack journalist and so called medical experts that get their info from the hack journalist. Politics during WW1 were responsible for a large majority of the Americans flu deaths in the roaring twenties. Which by the way was 8% of the population in the United States and a minimum of 50M world wide, probably closer to 150-200M.

Actually, the Spanish Lady is a near obsession of mine. I read everything I can find about it and watched every documentary I get the chance to. I try to separate the fly specks from the pepper unless Trump tweets it then it's gospel truth then. I mean, if you can't trust the president then who can you trust?

Beats me! Woodrow Wilson was one terrible president, if you’ve looked at that era.

About the best thing you can say about Wilson is that he told the American people if we got in the war we were going all in. And we did. Conscripted every doctor and nurse in the country including those retired in their 70's. Hospitals were being run by 1st year medical students ( those who weren't volunteered for service) in the middle of a killer flu epidemic. Colleges being emptied and used as barracks among a lot of other things people today would scream about. Lots of journalist ended up in jail too.

yeah, we were in it to win it.......he was truthful about that. About the only thing he was truthful about

yeah I got to agree with you on that^.....and then came Jimmy Carter and the Iranian loving Muslim Barack Obama!

yeah we've had some pieces of s*** presidents...

Thank God for Trump!.......clean the swamp out.

PS: the only reason I like Bill Clinton was the fact that he got a blow job in the White House everyday from that fine ass Monica Lewinsky!...now that was worth impeachment versus sleeping with Hillary!
