Ya know what???....I love baked sweet taters with honey and butter....and, I love french-fried white taters....but, I just can't get into fried sweet taters....I guess, when I bite into a sweet tater fry, my taste buds sorta revolt against the sweetness.

One of my favorite memories is coming home from school and smelling sweet taters baking in the oven. My Mom made the for us for after school snacks all the time, just like you said, with butter and honey on them.

Can ya wait till I get thar???

Tonight I'm whoopin' up some venison burritos.

We had some folks over Saturday for supper, and I put a butt on the Weber about 9:00am. Cooked up a batch of my BBQ beans to go with, and some store bought tater chips (Lay's) on the side. Twas, as they say "out west", larupin.

Rutabagas make awesome fries too. I thnk you could fry a doorknob and I'd eat it.

I love my root veggies. Just had some left over venison stew that, in addition to the typical taters and carrots, had parsnips, turnips, and celery root. Good stuff.

sweet tate fries- spray pam on a cookie sheet and "fry"them in the oven. I like parsnips and or turnips boiled and made into mashed "taters".

Not sure where you get the makings but we ate at a Cuban place in Orlando and their Yucca Fries were some dang good eats.
