Beer battered crappie fillets and sweet corn.....the eagles and red-tailed hawks
are really getting numerous out here, and taking a toll on our small game animals.

Birddog and I were fishing last week and the redtails were everywhere! I reckon they showed up here from Kansas when they had all that snow.

I fixed the above food pic.

Tpost, I stole the batter idea from a friend of mine who owns a meat market in Jackson, MS.....it's just plain ole Bisquik.....just follow the directions on the side of the box for mixing pancakes, but add a little extra milk to thin it out a bit.....you can batter just about anything with it, and it will stay put on it.....onion rings are divine with it.
