Sorry, guys, I don't read half the posts on here.....but, you gotta admit, that deer is fantastic, and worthy of a second post.

Ha ha ha! How could you NOT read a post that starts out with, “As Mudward would say .....”? :)

Didn't know I had the market cornered on the "mudward" word. ;)

I WOULD post a pic of the buck on my game camera that I've been chasing, but all somebody would say is, "He'd be a good one, next year".....just guessing, but he's already over 5-1/2 years old. ;)

I have no desire to shoot anything like that, I killed a really nice 13 point a few years back and people like to have worried me to death. I emailed ONE picture to a buddy of mine and it ended up in the paper and a reporter from Little Rock called wanting an interview over the phone, a guy came by one night wanting to score it and strangers came by wanting to see it. Waaaaaaaaaaay more headache than it's worth to me

Well, he’d prolly be a pretty nice one at 6-1/2 years old. ;)

Yep, and I might just let him grow to 6-1/2 or maybe even 7-1/2, too. ;)

Gnarly racks like that don’t really turn me on. Its amazing the buck lived to that age and all. Its like those big old tubby rainbow trout that they catch in deep lakes out west. They morph into something thats an oddity, but as far as being a specimen that’s an example of the species it just doesn’t do it. For me at least.

One thing I would do, I make sure that buck inpregnated asmany does on my place as he could! What genetics! Maybe slip some of those blue pills in thecorn feeders!

So, if he came into your stand, you’d let him walk? ;)

But think how nice he’d be at 8-1/2! ;)

If i was 14 like that young lass you can bet your bottom dollar it’d be DRT as myhairly little friend used to say. Otherwise, it might be a tossup. I tend to go after the fatter, fairer, and tastier sex when/if I hunt government goats these days.
