I spotted something listed in an estate sale ad last night and decided to see if I could get lucky this morning. I went early to be first in line and as soon as they opened the door, I zipped straight into the garage. The place was very disorganized and this commercial grade knife sharpener was just thrown on a shelf with a bunch of other garage related stuff. I spotted it immediately and snagged it for $35.00! Cool beans. ;)

They sell for $1000 to $1500 new, but used ones bring an easy $600 on eBay.

Here's a new one on clearance for $1100+

600 bucks for an old raggedy wore out knife sharpener? Mental retardation must be one of the side effects of covid

Ha! Actually, the grinding wheels look to be in excellent shape (can't see any wear at all) and I tested it. It works like new. :thumbsup

I could use one of those critters but I don't need one for that kind of coin.

Good luck Thump!

Yep, it's a bit on the spendy side, but it's one of those units that one could use to set up a little knife sharpening side-business.

I knew what it was immediately when I spotted it in the pics, but didn't want to get my hopes up too high. I snatched that thing up in a millisecond when I saw the $35 price tag attached to it!

That’s a deal!

(IF nobody buys it on eBay) ;)
