We woke up to 34-degrees this morning! WTF???? To make matters worse, it's only supposed to get up to 61-degrees today. I had to get up and try to remember how to switch the heat pump over from cool to heat! Sheeesh! :banghead

That was our high temp for yesterday. Started out my work day the past couple of days at 12-14 degrees.

What a waste. There's a beautiful, cloudless blue sky today ... but I just don't feel like getting out in that stuff. I swear, I'd make a lousy Yankee ... I'd never want to go outside my front door during the winter.

Oh, if it makes you feel any better ... I'm still sitting here in my normal uniform of the day ... shorts and flip-flops ... but today I added a t-shirt.

I forgot to throw in the wind chill. There is currently a 9MPH wind out of the NW which makes it feel like 10 degrees.

You Southern dudes are just soft. This isn’t even cold enough for the elementary school kids to have inside recess.

No clear sunny skies today. We got about 4 inches of snow last night and we are looking for a high temp of 16 degrees. Add in the 20 MPH wind so the wind chill is -4 degrees and the snow is drifting across the roads. Gonna be fun working today [emoji35]

Clear blue skies all week here and we're slowly returning to normal, but that cold front has been lingering and making things if'y at times. S'posed to be a high of 77 today and 81 tomorrow, but the fronts are playing games and s'posed to roll back in tomorrow night to bring some rain and cooler temps. The weather ho's have been going nuts trying to predict the Super Bowl weather. As it stands now, they think the rain will clear out on Super Bowl morning and temps will drop to around the low to mid-70's. Back to the low 80's by Tuesday.

Nice pool there Hombre! I finally got tired of maintaining ours and had it ripped out and filled in a couple years ago. Just one more maintenance headache (and $$$ drain) out of the way for this old geezer.

Supposed to be bright and sunny on Saturday but overcast on Sunday with daytime high temps of -2 and -4 respectively, but nights will be a bit nippier.

Uranium City, Saskatchewan, located on the north shore of Lake Athabasca, is forecast to go to -51f by the weekend. Coldest I ever experienced was -43f in (aptly named) Cold Lake Alberta. Definitely perky.

Definitely wouldn’t want to spend too much time outside in that.

About 25 years ago I was working the overnight shift and we were hitting around -20 F with windchills around -60 during the night and over a week with the daytime highs still below 0. We set the all-time record low for here at -27. Spent most of the time picking up truck drivers and taking them to the truck stops because their fuel had gelled up.

Big reason I wanted to move back to the west coast was to get away from the winter chill in Ab. My old carcass just can't handle that shit no more.
