I had a part in a similar one a few years ago on I-80. That one was due to heavy fog instead of ice. If I remember correctly, there ended up being about 130 cars total in that one.

I absolutely hate being on the interstate in bad weather. People don’t slow down until the last minute. I swear they don’t look past the end of their hood when they drive. Scares the hell out of me.
