I know the pic is awful dark, but we’ve got about two inches of snow on the ground right now. Had a high of 37 today, but that was overnight as temps fell all day and are supposed to have a low of 23 overnight.

Believe it or not we had snow showers all morning here. Nothing stuck but it was strange. freeze warning here tonight.

Sigh..... My cherry, pear, peach, and even a good bit of my apple blossoms are going to get it again this year. The only thing that won't get zapped are the late blooming apples I've planted in the last few years. I hate late freezes!

Grrrr.

I feel for you Will. Spring is a little further along here and I’m hoping the fruit trees are spared.

It was a bad one up here Hank. Snow and a low of about 27 degrees. And another freeze for tonight. Alas I think my pears and peaches and cherries are done for. The late blooming apples still might be ok.

I love Canada and it's people but I wish they would keep these April weather systems to themselves! How can a nation that is otherwise so conscientious and neat be so sloppy with their weather containment systems? :p

Sorry to hear that Will. The coating of snow
may have helped some. Fingers crossed for you. The only fruit tree I have here in suburbia is a persimmon I planted for the critters. It only started producing in the last two years and I’ll be interested to see if it’s impacted.

We only got down to about 35 and expect the same tonight. I’ve been itching to get my tomatoes and peppers in the ground. But, Leo talking myself to wait until Mother’s Day. Glad I did now.

Yeah, that's a good thing. They can be a bit delicate when young and don't like cold weather at any age. I wouldn't dream of putting mine out until late May. Mine are doing well in my homemade grow light stand.... I'm not much of a carpenter but they don't seem to mind. :)

Hell I saved that SoB a half dozen times getting it oriented right. For some reason it just reverts to this...

Jim: We have to have tomatoes like this to grow sideways on our hills. The ground is so steep that they grow into each other if they come up straight. :)
