Recovering from pretty good garden variety spring storms here last night. So far so good on damage. My little eight year old grand niece told her grandma that the storm yeeted her trampoline into their fence. We all had to look up ‘yeeted’.

Hope y’all’s spring is going good. Other than being behind on chores all is good here in the Cultural Center of the Universe.

Rain, what is that?!

Here in the land of extremes, rain has been pretty tough to come by. For example, the fall of 2019 was the wettest in 125 years of record, fast forward to the first months of 2021, the driest on record. We currently have 89% of our counties in the D3 or extreme drought category with an additional 5% in the severe drought category of D2.

We have already had LOTS of rangeland fires and we haven't even hit the "dry" part of the year.
