I ordered a couple of books this morning from a company that I haven't used in years. I had to update my shipping info since I had moved yet they automatically knew my credit card number that I changed only a couple months ago. ????? Is there a universal ordering program that everybody uses? How can they guarantee my security if that many people have access?

kind of curious now

New one on me! I wonder if the company is a subsidiary of another company you've done business with?

I’ve used my new credit card online recently but I haven’t bought anything from Abesbooks in ten years or more

I’ve bought a bazillion books from ABE, but it’s prolly been about 10 years for me also since I bought anything. Maybe I should check in and see if they have my current credit card info.

I used to buy used books from them and resell on eBay for a ton of profit! You just have to know the market.

Maybe you inadvertently stored your CC info in the browser? Chrome will autopopulate the credit card field if you let it.
