9/11 Remembrence

Man, 20 years goes by in the blink of any eye. I’m not sure I can take a whole week of “remembrances” as it brings back such a flood of feelings. I really feel for the families, close friends and first responders who were directly impacted.

So true. I always remember that I’d been up at TW’s, with a few deplorables here, for a Canuckian fishing trip. I took the red-eye out of Canada and got home in the early morning hours of 9/11. I’d taken the day off work to “recover” from the trip and ended up watching the whole thing unfold on tv that morning. Once the borders closed and all transportation was halted, I realized I made it home just in the nick of time. Once the shit hit the fan, I was so pissed of and fired up, I actually made a beeline for the local recruiting office and inquired about (re)-enlisting in the military. I was ready to kill me some camel jockies! That’s when I was informed I was “too old”! :(
