13-6 YTD 68.4%

Saturday, Sept. 11

1) Illinois at Virginia | 11 a.m. | ACC Network
The Illini looked really bad in the loss to UTSA Saturday. Virginia is at home so I'm gonna say Cavs 28-17

2) Pitt at Tennessee | 11 p.m. | ESPN
Pitt is favored and think they'll win. Couldn't happen to a nicer bunch of buck toothed yokels Pitt 34-23

3) Oregon at Ohio State | 11 p.m. | FOX
Buckeyes are heavily favored and with good reason. 44-27 Ohio st

4) Tulsa at Oklahoma State | 11 p.m. | FS1
I hope Tulsa isn't as bad as they looked in the UC Davis loss last week but I think the Pokes will score early and often. OSU 41-14

5) Rutgers at Syracuse | 12 p.m. | ACC Network
Rutgers totally trashed a generally game Temple team last week but I don't think that'll happen against the Orange. Scarlet Knights 30-21

6) Purdue at UConn | 2 p.m. | CBSSN
A massacre of biblical proportions in the making. Boilers 51-14

7) Texas A&M vs. Colorado (in Denver, Colorado) | 2:30 p.m. | FOX
I think I'll take this as my upset special, I hate A&M more than the Irish and Buckeyes. 28-27 Buffs

8) Cal at TCU | 2:30 p.m. | ESPNU
Great Horny Toads, Potential to be a really good game. Or not. Frogs 29-21

9 )Iowa at Iowa State | 2:30 p.m. | ABC
I thought Iowa st was overrated and I still do. Hawkeyes 28-20

10) Texas at Arkansas | 6 p.m. | ESPN
Only a great fool would choose the Hogs here. I am not a great fool so I can clearly not choose the Hogs. Horns 38-17

11) NC State at Mississippi State | 6 p.m. | ESPN2
I was impressed with the pack last week not so much with Miss st. Pack sends the dogs home with their tails tucked. Leach makes some quirky comments in the post game interview. Wolfpack 34-20

12) Missouri at Kentucky | 6:30 p.m. | SEC Network
Probably gonna be one of the better games of the day. Mildcats 31-28

Utah at BYU | 9:15 p.m. | ESPN
This is a testimony to the quality of the games this weak I mean week. My heart says BYU but my mind says Utah. Utes 23-17

Can the hogs stop a decent running game? Stop the run, which looks pretty good TBH, and make that young QB beat you with his arm. Be he can’t.

I’m picking the piggies. The Horns are actually pretty basic this year.

We've got a qb that runs like Cam Newton but throws like his granny. I really had high hopes for Kendall Briles but in two years it appears that his "Tempo" offense consists of two yd slants and bubble screens. I like most other Hog fans spend most of football season wallowing in despair and self pity. To be honest, I'm really gotten rather comfortable at the bottom, I'm not sure I could handle prosperity

I agree that Missouri v. Kentucky looks like it could be sporty. I hate to say it about a team that won last 45-0, but I think NC State will improve at the QB position as the season goes on. However, their record against the SEC on the road under Dave Doren is terrible. I think it’ll be a pretty good match up. I sure wish BM.l was around to talk smack to.

One more I’m picking differently. I’m taking the Vols over the Poles. Er, I mean Pitt.

Didn’t mean to ignore you hombre, for some reason I thought you were a husky fan. I’ll start including them in the picks. Razorbacks have Kstate at basketball later this year

No worries QA, you're not wrong. My daughter's went to UW so I root for them. I've been a kstate fan since I was a kid so I also root for them.

CD ducks just dug deep to get a 4th down stop.

As per usual, the Suckeyes are overrated. they'll probabably fall from 3rd to 4th in the polls

Tough loss for the Wolfpack who failed to show up and beat themselves with ridiculous mistakes. While I’m normally a fan of “more cowbell”, Starkville is definitely over the top with it.

And, if Notre Dame moves up again after a 3 point win against Toledo, I may just blow a fuse…

I really think Texas being bad had more to do with the outcome of the game than Arkansas being good. I don't know if I'm comfortable winning, Hope is a dangerous thing

Week two thoughts:

1)Vagina vs Illinois. Too early to form a definite opinion on the Cavs yet, we'll know more after they play the Tarholes this weekend. Beilima stepped in a situation kinda like Old Mother Hubbard. He's a fair coach and a decent recruiter, if they're patient with them they'll see some low tier bowls on a regular basis with an 8-5 thrown in occasionally.

2) Pitt vs Tennessee. Panthers could end up the 4th best in the ACC and maybe even third. Maybe, I rate Pitt, the Canes and Vagina about the same. The Vols are their on worse enemy. Lower middle of the SEC but for some reason they think they're elite. Forget it guys, Phat Phil and Peyton are gone, just look in the mirror and accept who you are. BTW, Jeremy Pruitt is just a poor mans Kirby Smart

3) The Bucks and the Ducks. Should have seen this coming. Without a little luck and a fortuitous call or three the Suckeyes could very well be O'fer 2. They'll still win the Big whatever and get in the playoffs unless someone like Purdue or the Spartans throw a monkey wrench into the mix. Would love to see them finish 7-5

4) Tulsa vs the Pokes. Either (a) UC Davis is better than advertised, or (b) Tulsa has made some remarkable adjustments between week one and week two, or (c) OSU is down.
Probably a combination of all three. I tell you next Monday which it is

5) Rutgers vs Syracuse. Scarlet Knights are up a little and the Orange are down a little. I figure Rutgers will go bowling doubt Syracuse does

6) Purdue vs Uconn. Blowout as expected. We'll see how the Boilers fare in South Bend this weekend before I stick my neck out too far

7) A&M vs Colorado. Faggies lost their QB for five to six weeks, the Buffs might have won if they had lost theirs. Maybe the worst QB I've ever seen at the college level. Couldn't run couldn't pass couldn't read a defense. He had mastered standing there looking confused however. It was sad. And they still nearly won

8) Cal vs TCU. Close game neither team will challenge for a national or conference title. TCU might possibly make a bowl. Lots of room for improvement for both teams

9) Iowa vs Iowa st. The Hawkeyes are tough, might end us being the Flagship of the Big numerically confused conference. Cyclones aren't bad but probably not top ten either

10) Texas vs Arkansas. Sure the Pigs won and sure they're ranked for the first time since 1928 but pessimism runs deep in the veins of hog fans everywhere and 90% of hog fans world wide are expecting to lose to Georgia southern this week. Besides, beating Texas isn't the yardstick success is measured by in CFB

11) NC State vs Mississippi st. I don't really know what to say here except you have my sympathy Hank.

12) Kentucky vs Missouri. I like Kentucky, I don't like Mizzou so I'm glad of the outcome. Other than that, I didn't learn a lot about these teams except what I already knew, that Eli Drinkwitz is a whiny little bitch

13) Utah vs BYU. I knew to go with BYU, I knew but I wimped out. the PAC ten or twelve both suck.

Lol. Sorry QA but I grew up a hogfan amongst a whole family of hog fans. Hog fans’ persecution complexes are something to behold. I don’t know where that comes from, but it is sure enough true!
