This time with a vintage Mossberg bolt action in 16 gauge. I found it in the safe looking for something else and thought "Have I ever shot this thing"?
So I cleaned her up, made sure the C-lect choke was working and hit the woods.

Why bother carrying that heavy shotgun and ammo? Judging by the pic, you could have easily just uglied ‘em to death.

One of my best friend’s Dad had an old bolt action 12. It had a big long barrel, maybe a 36? His Dad and I used to sit in the duck blind and drink whiskey and shoot coots on the water with it. It was a great coot gun. He claimed it was a goose gun but I never saw a shot fired in anger at a goose with it.
