…. I certainly am now! I can’t wait for Pearl Harbor Day! Not because of the specific holiday and not even because it’s my ex-wife’s birthday (yes, I’ll call her, we’re great friends), but because these %#{*]+=[#!!! Medicare Supplement ads will FINALLY come to an end! Well, until the middle of October NEXT year that is. Then they’ll start all over again. Dang! I’ll bet the television network advertising execs cream their jeans waiting for this time of year. I’m so sick of their ads I could spit! Tell me there’s not BIG money to be made in the medical insurance business. I think their media saturation is higher than during a danged Presidential campaign!

End of gripe. Carry on.

I had the same thought just the other day Thump. The insurance co’s must be making some good money on this deal.

Well, I’m not 80 yet (but I DO hope I get there some day)! The problem is, I FEEL like I’m 80 these days. :(

Oh, and on your way out, don’t forget to BITE ME!! ;)

I called just for the heck of it, spoke with a nice lady in Utah, (who's English was her main language )
We joked around about the advertisements and she admitted the one with William Shatner was her favorite.
It's amazing what information they have on you, asked me what my Medicare No. was, she then pulled up all the info on my school retirement benefits , and told me to keep what I had as none of the other programs were as good.
Cracked a few more jokes and said good by, went very well and just reinforced what I already knew, or thought I knew.

We just did the same with Lynn’s mom while we were in L.A. last month. She retired at 70 years old and we were there for her 86th birthday. Lynn and I questioned her about her Medicare coverage and found she had not updated it since her retirement. We got her a MUCH better plan, for less money and mucho more/better coverage.
