Shuttin' this ol' pooter down for a few days

I snagged a nice, secluded campsite right on the beach and we'll be pullin' the ol' RV out'ta the driveway around 6:00 am. The camp site is surrounded by vegetation with a large open field on the door/canopy side, so no neighbors. Right behind the (full hook-ups) site is the beach. There's a little nature trail that leads down to the sand. Gonna be back VERY late on Monday ... or heck, we may make it Tuesday. Who knows? Youse dufes have a Merry Christmas (or have a happy Festivus). I'll have my feet in the sand sipping on a cold one for Christmas! I'll be thinkin' about you shiverin' Yankees! ;)

You have a great time Jimmy - I myself am going to have a very different experience. It's suppose to get in the teens here so I'm headed over to drain and winterize everything.

Ha ha! Thanks dufes. I was going by memory this morning and figured we had a 325 mile trip ahead of us. My memory isn’t as good as it used to be, it was a 425 mile trip. But it went very smoothly and time actually flew by. The crazy part? Check-in time was 3:00 pm and we pulled up to the entrance at 2:57! Anyway, we’re in a beautiful, secluded, site at a first quality STATE PARK! We just had supper and went for a walk down to the beach. Now we’re settling down for a quiet evening in front of the tv. Heck, we may even throw a movie into the dvd player. Dang, I could get used to this retirement thing! ;)

BTW, GG … our camper cat … absolutely LOVES the motor home and is my navigator when we’re on the road. I bought her a nice little rug to replace the old bath towel she used to ride on. [emoji38]

Speed limit is 70, everyone drives 80-85. I set the cruise on 65 and kick back to relax. It seems that once you crack that 65 mph barrier, the fuel mileage goes straight into the toilet. Diesel ain’t cheap these days. :(

Besides, you should know by now, us old retired folks ain’t in no hurry. :)

Well. we made it home last night. Took the coastal road back, so it was a bit slower with nicer views compared to the Interstate. GG the Camper Cat claimed her spot on the dash, helped with the navigation home and enjoyed the view along the way. ;)
