It appears that our President is going to issue an executive order to institute sweeping police reform (with Black History Month approaching). What happens if a governor simply refuses to comply?

As a white dude, I’m not allowed to respond until March 1.

Trump cut off funding for states who didn’t follow his lead on a number of things. I have no idea what Uncle Joe will do. It won’t beacceptable I’m sure no matter what itis.

Well since we’re talking about policing, hesigned a bill in november that added funding to the statesfor 1000 new cops. I didn’t hear of any governors turning it down, although itwpuldn’t surprise me.

The term “police reform” doesn’t inspire confidence that we’ll be enacting policy to reinforce our crime fighting capability, especially in light of many minority leaders screaming for abolishing the police altogether.

I was just being hypothetical
