At Houston Hobby. I think Ted Striker was our pilot. Either that or his last job was a log truck driver.

Yuck.

Weird. A friend of mine is down there, and his wife was leaving to fly there to meet him. Say hi to her if you see her.

:lmao

Since Southwest has taken to flying between Houston Hobby, and Atlanta Heartsfield...and gas has gotten so high, we have flown out to Houston for my last several checkups.

Funny thing about those SW 737 pilots. I think about 1/2 of them used to be Naval Aviators, because when they land it feels like they think that bird has a tailhook bolted on back there. There's been one or two landings that were just as smooth as silk though. My back KNOWS the diff.

Oh! Speaking of Hobby. Ain't that a neat little airport? About a dozen gates all on one concourse. Sort of the anti-ATL. Last time out we had some bufflalo wings at that wing place in there while we waited for our plane to arrive.

Houston Hobby and Dallas Love Field are my two favorite airports in the world, next to Tulsa. I just found out you can get to Newark via SWA last Friday when I made my reservations. I REALLY don't like the big Houston airport.
I just walked down to my gate where I can see out the window. The wind is blowing about 9000 mph which explains the teeter totter landing.
I walked by the wing place after I'd wolfed down a Wendy's which made me feel bad,And wished I'd waited and ate there.
It doesn't help that I'm reading a Pollan book about food processing.

That wing place is down close to gate 22 or so. I think I inhaled about 1000 calories just cause the smelled so good.

We just landed at Hobby. Waiting on the Tarmac for our gate to clear. We're about 10 mins. early. Wings for breakfast? Why not? ;-)

I don't fly nearly as much as I used to, and the only thing I miss about it is the CINNABONS....just can't figure why they took 'em outta all the airports....I can eat my weight in those things....those, and Krispy Kream donuts. ;)

Man oh man!!! Those hot glazed ones literally melt in your mouth. It's a GOOD thing we don't have one of those stores in my little burg. My blood glucose counts would be through the roof.
There is a Dunkin D in town.....but that just AIN'T the same.
