Someone in a motorhome Facebook group I belong to just posted this pic. They're headed to Death Valley and wanted to fuel up in Furnace Creek. They decided they had enough left in the tank to get their diesel elsewhere!

Wow, that is high.

I filled up on monday and I think it was around $3.35 or so. High test was $3.75. Non-ethanol 90 octane was $3.90 the last time I filled up the truck. Funny thing, I just finished rebuilding my 4wd and haven't taken it to work one time since I finished it. The old Malibu gets about 28 mpg while the 4wd with snow tires gets about 16... summer tires I get around 18 mpg. Either way I guess it's good to have a junk car that you don't care about for winter driving and gas crunches.

I can't imagine what it would take to drive an RV across country. What kind of mileage do those things get anyway?

There's probably not much worse on families trying to make ends meet than rising energy costs, and record inflation (especially housing).

Talking to a friend down at the feed store last week and we were saying the same thing. And I guess food prices are in the mix as well. I hope I don't live to see the trucks in town handing out government cheese and milk again. Those were some nasty memories of my childhood I'd like to forget. Man it was bad back then.

$4.00 a gallon for Regular here this morning. It's going to get worse before it gets better. I doubt Bidum will do anything to lower gas prices or slow inflation.

The only thing Biden is going to lower is his approval rating and it won't be slow

As of today, regular gas here is $3.59. Willie, my (class C) motor home is diesel and on my last two trips got exactly 15-mpg (mixed city/highway) and diesel here is $3.85 right now. I’m sure it’ll get worse before it gets better. I hope it drops as I’m planning a 4000-5000 mile trip in Sept-Oct.

Been paying about $5.29. Can't say that I'm happy about that. Good thing work is only 20 minutes away..

Lots of people are getting very rich off of this situation. Here’s the latest from EIA on crude inventories, refining inputs and outputs and whatnot in the US. Tell me where you see justification for a hundred percent increase in retail prices.

Bought gas on Monday for $3.22, today it's $3.89. Having second thoughts on my new vehicle that should be here next week.
But then, we lived through the 70's with it's high gas prices and low availability, so I live with the old proverb, "And this too shall pass"

We hit $3.99 today for 87 octane. The No ethanol 90 octane is sold as “boat/rec vehicle gas around here and was at $4.39 which surprisingly isn’t much higher than last summer, so far.
