First Hunt of the Fall

I’d almost forgotten how much I need time in the woods. I feel better already. Saw all kinds of critters: turtle, geese, a fox, a flock of turkey and even a decent buck right as the sun was going down. No good shot, but I’ve got three months of season left. There’s a nice cool front blowing through right now and a glass of rye whiskey in my hand. Life is good.
