Same here ….. and thanks! I’m gonna be eatin’ free all over town. Denny’s Grand Slam for breakfast, Little Caesar’s Pizza for lunch, Sonny’s BBQ for supper, free donuts/coffee at Dunkin’ and Krispy Kreme, dinner buffet at Golden Corral on Monday and a voucher from Texas Roadhouse (steakhouse) good for 6 months! Oh, and maybe I’ll grab a 1/4-lb. Big Bite (hotdog) to bring home from 7-11. [emoji1787][emoji106]

I was in Marine Corp Boot Camp in Nov. of 63.
10th was the 50th Birthday, steak, baked taters and all the extras, much better than the usual everyday chow line.
Then Veterans Day, little extra treats, then came the 22, Kennedy Assassination , not much celebration, lot's of unknowns, packed our seabags, were on 24 hour standby, the the 25 for T-Day, nice food spread, but very somber. Nov. 63, a month to remember.

I was in the 6th grade Bubba. They had just introduced televised lessons into some schools on an experimental basis. We were watching “Conversational Spanish” when the program was interrupted to announce that Pres. Kennedy had been shot. The following week was spent being glued to the TV set. My dad and I were watching LIVE coverage when Jack Ruby shot Lee Harvey Oswald.
