A buddy and his wife dropped by the lakehouse late Sat. afternoon, and we got a wild hair to boil up a few mudbugs....drove over to the local mudbug shack in Greenville, and bought 70 pounds....enough for supper and a few to snack on for the next day or two.

They're really cheap this year because of a bumper crop in Louisiana....$2.30 per pound, and they'll get lots cheaper than that, after Easter.

Sat. night, we bit tails and sucked heads 'til we popped!!! ;)

These are medium-sized bugs....not too big to be tough, and not too small, either....just right.

I put these on ice for tonite....LOVE 'em cold, too, straight outta the cooler....my son and grandkids are coming down to help us knock out a few more pounds of 'em. ;)

I can hear 'em, now...."Hey grandpa, what's for supper???!!!"...."Mudbugs and corn on the cob----all-u-can-eat!!!" ;)
