I gassed up yesterday and paid $2.88/gal. at Wally World. I really don't follow gas prices that closely, but do check prices when it's time to fuel up, then head for the lowest priced (local) location. TBH, I'd expected to see the price go UP, instead of down, due to the b/s going on in Israel. It seems anytime someone in that part of the world simply farts, the price of gas shoots up into the ozones. Anyway, I hope it stays like this for a while. After checking Gas Buddy, it seems 90% of the stations around here are under $3.00/gal. (Most at $2.99)

I paid $4.09 this morning. Probably because 95% of Utah despises Sleepy Joe.

We have a couple places right under $3.00 but most are still selling gas they bought as a higher price. a Lot of $3.11 around for some reason.

And when the prices jump up, those same places immediately raise their prices on the gas they bought CHEAPER last week!

Crap! I guess I should clarify something. I have a Walmart+ account (given to me “free” by my AmEx card) that automatically applies a 10-cent/gal. discount on gas at Wally World. (Actual price on the pump was $2.98) Prices are a roller-coaster and I many times find it cheaper at Sam’s Club, even without the discount. I just hit whichever location is cheapest at the time (they’re only about 3-mins. away from each other).

Quite a disparity in prices around the country isn't there.

I fueled up 93 octane for $3.98 this morning. The time before that I fueled up on non-ethanol 90 octane for $4.40 or something like that.

The mileage difference is just about enough to cover the extra cost of non-ethanol.

Disparity is an understatement! We just returned, last week, from a trip to California and the gas prices out there are nothing short of ridiculous. This pic wasn’t taken on this trip, but we ran up to Furnace Creek on a road trip last year. Asinine!

Quite literally happens all the time. But we’d rather blame a politician.

Yessir, I'll admit that and am guilty as charged, but it makes political discussions more fun! :stirthepot

I cringe anytime I see the words Thumper and gas in the same sentence

Well, it’s still going the right direction. It dropped to $2.97 at a few stations close to the house yesterday, including Walmart and Sam’s …. which translates to $2.87 for me. I never thought I’d see the day when I’d get excited when gas dropped below $3.00, but as they say these days, it is what it is.

87 octane here in central ND is $3.69, but we were just in central Minny-Soda last week riding UTV trails and the lowest we paid there was $3.46 with most places charging $3.54.

We are staying somewhat steady at or around $3.15 for 87 octane. We made a road trip to the Auburn Hills/Detroit area over the weekend and the cheapest I saw it there was $3.54.
