...is gonna be St John, in the USVI. Was just around the corner in St Croix last year and looks like about half of this island is a US nat'l park.

Been to St. John, but didn't dive there. It is really a beautiful island and has several beaches that are ranked as some of the best in the world by National Geographic. The cool thing is, if you want to do any shopping, there is a ferry that can take you into Charlotte Amalie on St. Thomas. A. H. Riise has some great prices on booze on St. Thomas. :beer:friday

Deputy, did you do any hiking in the park there? appears there are some good opportunities to do some good day hikes there.

Sorry it took so long to get back with you. No hiking, we have been there a couple of times as a stop on cruises, and just hit the beaches while there and took a tour around the island. It's one of the few islands that I've visited in the Caribbean that I'd consider staying on for any length of time.
