My mom was big into making Succotash when we were kids. I hated it then and just tolerate it now to be polite if it's served at a friend's house (for example). Lynn loves it, but she's weird like you. :laughing

I’ve never been able to like any “squash like” veggie, boiled. Squash, zucchini, okra, etc. now FRIED squash and FRIED okra, are a couple of my favorites. Go figure. Same with zucchini. Fried zucchini sticks, that sort of thing, I like. I like sliced tomatoes, but not boiled unless smurshed up and incorporated into spaghetti sauce, etc. I put boiled squash and raw oysters into the same food group as snot balls. [emoji2961]

This is a man that knows his succotash. A little hot chili oil stirred into it kicked it up a whole nuther level
