Hi everyone, I'm new in this forum. I know that forums are a good place to learn and interact with other people , so that People can share their experience with each other. In your opinion, what is the best stove for camping?

Welcome Derek!

You'll find lots of wide range of opinions around this place. Personally, I love my dual burner propane coleman. Years of faithful service, lights every time. A little difficult to control the flame at times but it gets the job done.

What part of the world are you from?

I use an old Coleman three burner that I converted to propane. Works good, lasts a long time.

Welcome to the site!

Actually, this is just my opinion........but most coleman type stovetops are a bit on the small side. If your skillet will fit it, then it's great, works fine on those small propane bottles.

One of these is supposedly for fish cooking, but really it's just a burner........I have several like it that are handmade, if you know how to weld. Two of these and you can fry about anything outside.

Colman 2 Burner.

Instead of putting a lot of condensation inside the RV, when I'm boiling water for corn on the cob, we crank up the Colman on the picnic table.

If I can run it, anyone can run it!! :D

Mine looks sorta like this but, the older green model.
We have a long hose attached to it and a 5 gallon propane tank attached to the other end of the hose.
We set the tank under the table.

Hi Derek, I bough a Coleman 3 burner propane http://www.colemancanada.ca/Catalog/STOVES.Propane,2000008258.en.products a few years ago and it's the tits. A high heat burner on each side with a slow simmer one in the middle. Hook it up to a 20lb tank and it lasts a long time. Love it!

Personally, I'm a huge fan of the good old fashioned buddy heater as stoves go.

I heard that you could catch the crabs and clap from buddy heaters. ;)

I was kinda hoping we actually had a new member :) I approved his registration since he used a legit name and email address. Who knows, maybe he'll come back. Alas, he'll probably hurt us like the others... they always do. Woe is us.... woe itellya!

I talk with good people all over the world on my ham radio. No reason at all why we can't have some good international folks dropping in for a good chat.

Come on back and chat with us derek65. I'd like to know how the fishing is in the Chenab River. What kind of tackle do y'all use? What kind of fish do you catch?

Hey Dude! Stick around for a while and post often. When you drop in and disappear like that ... we tend to wonder if you're "real". If you have a good sense of humor, you'll fit right in. Most of these dufes (myself excluded of course) are kinda "funny" lookin'.

Derek,

No subject is off limits here. We have fun with each other and at each other's expense quite a bit. We don't really have an "intro" thread but if you want to tell us a little bit about yourself, please feel free. Or you can wait & evaluate if we have the potential to add any value to your existance in any way... in which case you'll probably run screaming in the oppostire direction :)
