My son has talked for some time how he would like to be the person who does the animation-type things for today's cool video games and movies. To that end he signed up for a class entitled "Digital Design" which is a high school class held at the local tech center.
Anyway, one of the assignments the class had was to design a logo for this year's Earth Day event. The logo is intended to be used for t-shirts and maybe other items associated with the event. Though he claims to hate doing the graphic design portions of the class he does pretty good at it, good enough to take first place in the state competition. The title earned him $100 cash and his design will be used on this year's t-shirts. His mother and I are proud of what he did and though it was done with a computer instead of a pencil, I think it is still pretty cool.
