Telemarketing Call

I just got a call from a charity raising money for wheelchair basketball.

I don't know how I feel about that.

Is that really charity?

Don't trust the call.
Look on the Internet for the charity's real phone number and call them.
Ask if they are making solicited phone calls, for their charity.

My stock answer, if I ever talk to them, is "I DO NOT EVER MAKE ANY FINANCIAL DECISIONS OVER THE TELEPHONE".

That ends it.

I told them I wouldn't give them money but I'd give them a basketball. He hung up on me.
I guess that's what had me perplexed.

Does anyone remember "donkey basketball"???....years ago, our community raised tons of money on those games....I guess the liability got too great, and it was stopped, as a fund-raiser.

I played in a donkey softball game once that was a United Way fundraiser. Those little bastards are hard to ride.
