I have an estate sale coming up this weekend and there is quite a bit of fishing stuff there. It's nothing earth shattering, but I did spot a couple older reels I remember having as a kid. One belonged to my grandfather and I believe the other one was my dad's. I have no clue whatever happened to them over the years. My a-hole brother ripped off about everything of value I had stored at my parents house when I went overseas and sold or traded the stuff to buy pot, so I believe that's where they went. At any rate, they're long gone.
BUT ... I spotted the identical reels in a pile of stuff at the estate sale I'll be attending this weekend. They're not in great shape ... but I think they must be from the 30's - 40's I think. I don't really NEED them ... I just think it's cool there are TWO reels I had as a kid. (There's also an old Zebco ... but I'll pass on that one). Ya' think there's any reason I should pick these up? They'll just sit and gather dust I'm sure ... or I'd prolly just end up selling them down the road sometime. Trash or treasure?
