I went out to MD Anderson for my 3-month checkup back on the 9th (figuring I'd be back home by the weekend.
Had numerous X-rays, CT Scans and a THREE HOUR MRI on the 10th.
Saw my docs on the 11th.
My Oncologist said he could find NO sign of cancer anywhere in me.
My Neurosurgeon likewise said he could see no signs of cancer, and that my hardware looked OK in the scans.
Then I told him about the pain I've been having, and that I've kindof been walking "crooked".
He turned to his computer and started pulling up images of this time and last time.
In just a min he said he knew what the problem was.
The GOOD news is that it was not cancer related per se.
The not-so-good news was that one of the TITANIUM rods in my back was broken.
(Did I mention the word titanium??)
SO, on the 15th I checked into the hospital for "emergency" surgery to replace both rods with a stronger material.
Spend the next many days recovering.....
Yesterday the doc asked me how I was feeling and I told him I felt like going home!!
SO......the docs all consulted with each other and decided to discharge me.
Gonna be doing my physical therapy here instead of there.

Got home late last night .......toally exhausted.

Still sore as hell and still got a lot of healing to do.
Titanium rods........sheesh!!!

Good grief.

BUT....."stronger than Titanium"???? What is it, Kryptonite? What in the world?

And you are just simply my hero. No b/s. I can promise I won't go out this gracefully, and you not only ain't leaving, you're beating it over the head! Just amazing, Niner. I am so proud for you.

I don't know if that was intentional or a typo, but "Chick Norris" made me smile.

Glad it all went well. Keep up the good work! :D

Great news Niner and hope they can get your rod fixed before long. I'm sure the missus will appreciate that. ;)

LOL!!:lmao:biggrin-new:

OH! I forgot to mention the 4mm kidney stone I passed right after they removed the catheter.
When it rains it pours. GOOD thing I was on the goooood pain killers for the first few days after surgery.

Chuck Norris is my stunt double.

No, he's your understudy. He couldn't have gotten to where he is without studying your methods.
