got a memo from my "source" at the fish hatchery. The trout were releasedinmy favorite lake. Did not find the trout, but caught some nice bluegills last Sunday. My neighbor who tagged along and was throwing an inline spinner caught 18 small bass. Right beforeIleft Icaught a 21 inch channel catfish on a beemoth larva. I had to wade after it more than once as it stripped line off my trout/gill rod. 4 pound test flouro-carbon did the trick!

filleted 9 nice gills and the cat. Boy that catfish had two very nice thick fillets and a big chunk of belly meat on it! having a fish fry this weekend for the family.
