Otherwise you get rounded in the Rosy Rectum by the Rigid Rod of Reality.

Gas prices up here 18 cents overnight and up over 50 cents in just the last three days. Supposedly because of low inventories and because two refineries shut down in Illinois for maintenance. I don't suppose that could have been anticipated so inventories could have been stabilized. And I don't supposed the fact we have refineries just down the road has any effect on our gas prices.

Bastards.

No silly. We invaded Iraq because of WMDs.

(we can't find those either)

Do you reckon those things use oil? Maybe that's why they're both not here! ?>????????

Yeah, same crap happened here too. Gas is currently setting at $3.99.

The part that continues to piss me off about our town is that we have a refinery just across the river but gas prices here are typically 10 - 20 cents higher then they are on the eastern side of the state. The other thing here is that even though they claim it isn't a group effort, every time gas prices jump every station in town has the same price all within minutes of each other. Yeah right.

Yeah. Maybe those danged refineries and Halliburton and Schlumburger will just go out of business! Dang 'em anyway. We don't need no stinking gasoline.

You people are smoking crack.

Just went to town. Gas is 6 cents a gallon under what it was yesterday. Today it was $3.23/gallon, or $3.13 with my Kroger card.

Must be nice. It did go down here too, from $3.80 to $3.79. I was in Findlay, Ohio last weekend, gas here was $3.85, in Findlay is was $3.55, and our friends from PA that we met were complaining about the price there because it was only $3.25 where they live in Hanover, PA.

Did y'all know that there are 17 different grades of gasoline sold in the U.S., in that many regions??? Each has its own refining requirements, and costs.

Yes I did. And, I believe the term is "ludicrous".

Sam's is the cheapest gas at any location. And to their credit, they've stopped selling "mid grade" gasoline. We don't need 17 different recipes, each with 3 different grades. Talk about driving up costs.

Just as an update - the price just jumped another $0.15 yesterday so now the cheap stuff is selling for $4.14 and I heard some places in town were at $4.24 this morning which means by now they all are.

Can't wait to see what they peak out at this summer.

Huh? I haven't really noticed any change here. I have a Wally World very close to the house and that's where I normally buy gas. Heck, it's $3.39 ... but we got ourselves a Wally World card (use it for gas only) and receive a $0.15/gallon discount. I filled up this morning for $3.24/gal.

Seems to be a regional thing up and down the midwest, Thumper.

Up to $4.29 now. I can hardly wait to hook up to the boat and camper...NOT.

BarryBobPosthole

$3.82 here today. We have a grocery here that has a gas discount card you use every time you buy groceries. I think we have like .20 a gal built up on it now. That'll take a bit of sting out of it.

Bucky, you'll sing a differenttune if you pull that camper far.

I don't get out much these days. About the only time I leave the homestead during the week is to go to the Physical Therapist. So, a tank of gas lasts me a while...especially now that I've put on a locking gas cap.
:rocket

We gassed up the truck the other night at the Kroger. Grocery story dealie like Posthole's. It was $3.49 before our "discount".....which was about $0.20/gal.

There is a smartphone app called GasBuddy that will tell ya the cheapest gas stations near you.
It is also available in URL form for your "device" ... http://gasbuddy.com/
