It is POSSIBLE that someone spilled a TINY bit of coke on my laptop keyboard. I mean a TINY bit. But it must have hit something sparkly! Cause my keyboard fried. Computer works, mouse works, keyboard not. Well it works............but goes crazy. Backspace one time equals twenty nine "]" characters. The letter "K" equals "K398av4".

So I figured I'd take it to the shop tomorrow morning.

BUT..........thought I'd try something. Went to Walmart and bought a cheapo USB keyboard.

Voila, I'm back among the living.

Ta Da.

Mt. Dew would have made it work better.

Your keyboard could be all jacked up on Mt. Dew!

eBay will have one...if you have a small screwdriver you can replace it.
They are EASY (like 4 screws) and CHEAP (I replaced the one I'm typing on for like $16)

I don't even see any screws.

I'll take it to the shop............WHEN I get tired of this workaround that works fine.

But I ain't taking a screwdriver to a $800 laptop, dude.

You have to pop the case open first Buckrub.

Look on you-tube it will show you how. Some you remove the battery and the screws to take the case off are under there.

Heck, I been thinking about getting one of these large letter cheapos, but they don't make a wireless model.

Only $26 bucks, and it sure would be easier on the fingers and eyes.

Ed, my old high school typing teacher would thwack your fingers with a ruler if she caught you looking at the keyboard.

HA! So would mine. And that was on the old manual typewriters (ribbons, carriage returns, etc). We did have 3 electric ones, and every 10 minutes we all "shifted left" and then came back to that same seat the next day, so we'd all get equal turns on the electrics. By the time I was in the Army Reserve, I was hitting 120 wpm.
