The first weekend in June the family and I met up with 4 other families for our annual camping trip in the north unit of Theodore Roosevelt National Park. Eight years have passed since our first get together and it is strange how none of the parents have aged but the kids have gone from being just wee little things to nearly full-grown. ;)

Rain was the word for the first day but all the moisture sure has the badlands looking green.

The weather for the rest of the trip was nice and sunny so we took advantage of it by getting out and doing a bit of climbing and hiking around the park.

Excessive rain coupled with the clay soils caused the road leading to the back of the park to start washing away which limited our search for critters so this is all I have except for a couple of pics I took of the lone bighorn sheep we saw but it was raining that day so they didn't turn out very well.

Given the three oldest kids in the group will be seniors next year the mothers decided it was time to start taking some senior pictures.

Given my boy has been known to do a bit of weightlifting, the other two decided he should hold both of them up for a picture or two.

Wow. Nice scenery.

Just got the book "Camping with the Corps of Engineers"..........I get half off. I need to check out campgrounds at various states.

Those badlands areas are sure something. And you can tell just how pure the air is just looking at those pics.
