As I said previously,

"One man's trash, is another man's treasure!!" ;)

Remember my post a while back about the note I dug out of the trash? The one written by Errol Flynn?

http://www.goodhunting.info/showthread.php?2323-Been-getting-an-interesting-education-here-(this-will-be-really-REALLY-LONG)!

Well, I listed the note on the 20th for a 10-day auction. I found this note just under a year ago, but saved it until this day because June 20th would have been Errol Flynn's 104th birthday! Well, the auction closed just a matter of minutes ago at $705.00!!!! (There were 21 bids)

I've already received an e-mail from the second highest bidder ($695.00) asking if I'd consider selling him the note if the deal should fall through for some reason.

Man-o-man, I couldn't be happier. That pile of trash was headed to the dump, but I decided to dig through it first. Sure glad I did! :D

Congrats! That is cool

Sounds like whoever bought that autograph must have been paying for my wrenches too! ;)

Well, the PayPal payment came in and the money is in the bank! Now I just have to cross my fingers that Bucky's U.S. Postal Service doesn't lose the package. ;)

That is some of the best "happy news" I've heard in a while.

I received an e-mail from the buyer that SHE was prepared to bid much higher ... but the competition dropped out at the $700 mark! She's extremely happy to get the note at such a "low" price. Sheeesh ... I knew it was unique ... just had no idea HOW unique.
