WASHINGTON (CNNMoney)
If you drive a pickup truck or a large SUV, you'd better watch out.

The top ten vehicles stolen in the U.S. between 2010-2012 were all trucks and SUVs, according to data released Tuesday from the Highway Loss Data Institute, an insurance industry backed research group.

The four-wheel-drive Ford F-250 crew cab pickup is the vehicle most vulnerable to theft, the group said. The Cadillac Escalade, which had previously topped the list, dropped to sixth.

We have some "projects" on the west side of town here. It amazes me at all the Escalades parked in those projects! I'm just sayin'.

Looks like even the thieves have improved their taste in vehicles.

Those day'um black Escalades with the blacked-out windows and 24 inch spinner-rims look like pimp-mobiles....or, something Ovomit and Moochie would ride around in. ;)

I can imagine the newscast now:

Stolen F-250 Found On Road Dead 12 miles from location of theft. Suspects evidently abandoned broken down vehicle and fled on foot. ;)

DUFES! It's because they are selling the parts. There's such a demand for Ford parts that they stay pretty busy tryin' to fill their orders.
