Head home for some memories

Class reunion number 50 this weekend. Have not been home for over 8 years, looking forward to some fun times.
Damn lot of water has flowed under the bridge in 50 years, but the early 60's was a great time to be young, we even have our own war to remember :(
Friday night social hour on the lake shore, then Sat. night reunion at the old HS gym, that was turned into a conf. center.
We had a class of 250 kids, about 40% will show, 24 can't, I'm sure I'll see some tears, get a lot of hugs and just fall back to a time when we were just so naive and owned the world.
Looking forward to listening to some great music in the gym again. :)

Saw your pic on FB. I'm not sure I could think of that many people from high school that I'd care to talk to. Now, on the navy side, I'm still talking to lots of folks I served with over 20 years ago..

Had a great time, friends showed up that I haven't seen in 40 years, way way to many really old looking people that I didn't recognize, glad I wasn't one of them, everyone knew my name.
We hold one every 5 years, not sure how many will be able to show up in 2018, we already have lost way to many.
It was fun, your good friends back in HS were still your good friends 50 years later even if you only see them every 5-20 years.
Some of the girls still looked great, some needed a few beers to remind you of who they were.
Glad I went.
