You mentioned the TENS unit the other day.
When I went to my PT appointment today, my Therapist hooked me up to an "electro-stimulator" thingy. We'd talked about this last week and I told her I was unsure if there would be any adverse interaction with the hardware in my back. Heck, I might be magnetized or something. Well, she did some research on it, and found that it should be OK.
So, she wired me up... and I laid down on the table on top of a killer heating pad. The treatment was for 20 mins. I'll have to say that was the FASTEST 20 mins in history.
It really seemed to help too!! So much so that I am going to hit my doctors group up for a prescription for the "take home" model.
