Though it doesn't seem possible my oldest is entering his senior year of high school so besides senior pictures like this one I took on Friday night:
1590
we have also started the search for colleges. And one that he is considering is Champlain College in Burlington, Vermont.

So here are my questions:
Just wondering if any of you know someone involved in Multi-media Design and if so, is the program at Champlain College for this area of study considered to be a good one? If you know someone in that is willing to discuss what is takes to find a good college and how to establish a career in this field, I am all ears.

Anybody??

Bwana,
I don't know personally, but I do have a design team that works for me.. I can ask them what they know. I'm not at work, but I can get back to you tomorrow.

I don't know about the East coast school's, but I do know that UVU (Utah Valley Univ) has one of the best Multi-Media programs in the country. Easy to get in to, hard to complete. Lot's of student's start, but many drop out of it, but those that tough it out are usually very employable. Super nice, state of the art, newer school.

Thanks for the information guys.

ANY information you folks can provide is VERY much appreciated as this field is definitely outside my area of experience.

Big Sky, do you know who has gone through such a program that would be willing to talk with him?

Sorry, man. That's way up north and I don't have any first hand knowledge to offer.

John, I know this school pretty well. A number of my former students went there, a good friend of mine just retired as a professor from there, and I run into a lot of graduates from there through my business.
Not sure which field he wants to major in, but take a look at their offerings.
It's a neat mid size city where it's located in and was the home to President Jerry Ford.

John, I went down there with my son when he was investigating schools to attend. He had been offered a full tuition scholarship to UVU because of his ACT scores. Anyway, they rolled out the red carpet for us and really treated us well. We learned all about the multi media program. It would be worth your time to give them a call and ask some questions. Heck, by the time our tour was over I wanted to quit my job and go back to school. I was kind'a blown away when my son decided to attend BYU on a quarter scholarship instead. However, BYU has been a good fit for him so I can't complain.

Consider Iowa.. it is, after all, the #1 party school in the nation.. Now my true feelings... if they were going to give the state of Iowa an enema...
