We decided to load up the truck and hook up the camper for one last fall camping trip.
Happens to be my wife's birthday "week" (how the F do women get birthday "weeks"??)
Anywho we settled in on Kerr Lake last night, woke up to a crisp 52 degree morning, had an awesome breakfast. Took a short little 3 mile hike with the family, had some lunch and now here I sit by the fire watching a big ole slab of ribs cook ever so slow... About another 2 hours an they'll be Fallin off the bone.
Had a guy at work yesterday ask me why in the world anyone would go camping.
He doesn't get it. Ain't no better way to connect and decompress as a family that I know of.
