Whats everyone got on the menu tonight for the Cards and Doggers? I was undecided this morning and finally settled on my secret chainsaw chili and cornbread. Gonna wash it down with some of Beams Devils Cut. Sure hope we win tonight.

By the way Posthole, one of "my boys" will be playing up your way next season at ORU. Managed to get enough money to cover everything plus a little. Sure wish Rob Walton was still there though. But hey, he's playing D1 ball. Cant bitch about that.

I still got about a quart of last weekends gumbo left over.
Might throw in some pinto beans and let off some gas. ;)

Its a Jim Beam bourbon. So far it isn't bad. I'm not a bourbon drinker normally but saw it today and decided to try it. As bourbon goes, it is pretty spicey and woody. Not bad. Worth the money.

Last time we visited with my daughter in L'ville, we took a trip over to the Beam distillery and had some taste-tests.
Devi's Cut was NOT bad. And the "Ghost" was pretty good as well.

My current favorite is a "mix" of JB Spiced (cinnamon) with a dash of Fireball on top. Over CRUSHED ice from the fridge, of course.

STILL...not enough ummmpph to stomach a baseball game though.
I've NOT been able to watch baseball ever since those SOB's went on strike!

You have to forgive and forget. Bourbon will help that.

John Jay is killing us tonight. We need Shane Robinson in CF.

Somebody needs to tell Puig if he keeps showing folks up he's gonna get hit in the head with a baseball.

I don't care how lovable LA thinks he is, he's an ass.

And he ain't a very good ball player neither.

I'm pretty sure I noticed Yadi telling him that..............but it won't do any good. He feeds on it. Mattingly allows it and smiles. Magic teaches it. Lasorda can't see that far. So he won't quit.

And Lynn can't hit his head.

The LA players and coaches talk about him like he's retarded or something. They all say "He doesn't mean to be an ass, its just the way he is".

That's part of what you learn in the minor leagues.

And SOMEBODY will jerk a knot in his ass, just wait.

I think he was in the minor leagues about 9 minutes. He defected from Cuba, didn't he? Maybe Castro taught him all this, I dunno.

I still say Lynn couldn't hit him. But you're right, if he keeps up, he will have a noggin bump.

So if you enter the US from Cuba illegally to play a game with a ball and a bat you're a defector and lovable. If you cross the border from Mexico to work for a living you're an illegal immigrant here to take our jobs.

I get it now.

Uh...who said he was lovable?

and you hammer me for politicizing threads! Flaming Hypocrite! You won't even answer the direct political questions I ask/interrogate you with!

I oughtta come over there and whip you. How big a boy are you?

BarryBobPosthole

ESPN loves him, the TBS guys think he's the shit, and the LA Dodger players who ought to know better are defending him. I'll bet he peed in Arizona's pool too.

If he did, maybe I am coming to love him a little.

And I don't know that he entered the US illegally. I just said he came from Cuba. That was your assumption.

BarryBobPosthole

I don't think he did. We have special rules for athletes we want. He defected to Mexico and then the Dodgers were able to get him a green card. I think. I'm sure all those other MExicans could do the same if they wanted to.

I doubt it. Why would they bother? Then they'd have to get on Social Security.

Anyway, what torques me, and always has, is that of all the rules in this game.......they let some sportswriter be "The Official Scorer". Thus, any ball that drops between two wild-eyed, clueless outfielders without being touched, is a "hit". No errors in last night's game. That's a travesty and a black mark on the Game.

There was some pretty sorry shit going on in our outfield last night. Let's hope they got that crap worked out.

Let's hope Shane Robinson starts. But he won't, because Jay has been "hot" (their term, my term is "tepid") and Nelasco is a Lefty.

Come On Taveras!!!

I'm not down on Jay, heck he had what 237 errorless games? He's been a good outfielder for us this year. And putting him down in the order helped a lot too.

I think it was 'one of those nights' last night. We'll see here tonight. They need to win or we're back to trying to beat KErshaw and Grienke to win this series. That lengthens the odds immensely. Tonight is the most critical game of the series. And we're facing their weakest starter. Time for some offense.
