Bum Phillips RIP

Most of you younguns are too young to remember Bum coaching the Oilers when they had Billy 'White Shoes' Johnson and Dan 'Dante' Pastorini and Kenny 'The Snake' Stabler and Elvin Bethea and Earl 'The Rose of Tyler' Campbell. They were some kind of pretty damn good football team who could never quite close the deal. But never not fun to watch. I remember once Bum told somebody he always took his wife on road games because she was too ugly to kiss goodbye.

Quite a colorful man from a very colorful era of football.

RIP Bum.
