I know it's been discussed several times over the years, but I'd like to make it as close to a reality as possible.
I'd love to see as many of us GoodHunters as can get together SOMEWHERE in the USA sometime in 2014.

I know there was a "gathering" a few years back in Virginia on the Shenandoah River for a fishing trip. Something like that would be cool.....or whatever.

Let's try to make it happen in 2014!!!

I'd love to participate! My ability to do so will obviously depend on work/family conflicts. Is there some place fairly central for driving or that has reasonable air access? Do we want to fish, hunt, or sit around and drink untaxed liquor?

Well, I know one thing I WON'T be talking about!

Missouri is very central and has some awesome rivers to do some floating/fishing/goofing around on.

The LBL sounds good to me.
However, the only thing I know about the area is I rode my motorcycle through there on vacation sometime back in the late 1970's. IIRC it was a really pretty area.

We need to at least hammer out a two week window for this, could narrow it down further later on.

Mid-May is a good time to feesh.

I'm pretty flexible ... well, actually I'm not flexible at all ... but my time schedule is. BUT ... I'll be on a "no time limit" road trip around mid-May. We're having a "worn-out-old-fart-ex-spy/secret-agent" reunion in Northern California in mid-May. My Texas bud and my main "wingman" in the military (also disabled) are gonna turn it into an extended trip. I'm gonna drive to his place in Texas, stay a day or so to rest up, then we're headed out to meet up with the group in NoCal. Depending on how early a start we get, we'll make as many stops and side trips we want along the way ... then do the same thing on the way back. Who knows? We could be on the road for a month! I do need to be home by the early part of June as we'll be meeting up with my sis and bro-in-law in New Orleans for a few days (as long as my eBay business keeps providing "play money").

780 for me. It's a sign when you plug it in to google maps for directions and it comes up with flight information :) I'm still down, though. I like road trips.

Sounds like Mid May is a no go for pUMpHEAD sySopS
Let's look at mid to late June that way if Hank or Arty or anyone else has a kid that want to bring along school will be out?

I think we're gonna have to set a date and whoever is free can make it and whoever can't can't. Mid June is our annual vacation time. But we're never gonna get it scheduled if we try to work around everyone's schedule as busy as summers are. So let's set a date and go for it!

June 4th-8th
Wednesday to Sunday.

People can come for all or some.

Where doesn't really matter me.

Arty
11-12-2013, 10:54 AM
That's my vote.
That makes pUmPHead clear. And Barry too.

School is out then as well. Although I may come solo. Not sure.

BarryBobPosthole

Arty, I was wondering about spouses too. How many are bringing spouses and how many aren't?
Wonder if we might ought to put up a poll for a few dates and the spouse question. I would like to bring Julie but then again I don't thi9nk she'd have much fun at a sausage fest.

A pole would be great.
Perhaps a poll on location to (just geographically not specifically)

Chicken Dinner
11-12-2013, 01:31 PM
If we're talking poles, I'll vote for stripper poles. Let's have a poll on that.

BarryBobPosthole
11-12-2013, 01:38 PM
Ahem. Only Thumper's stripper's have poles and if that's what this is all about count me out.

Come on Barry! Where's your sense of adventure?

BarryBobPosthole
11-12-2013, 02:50 PM
Knowing Thumper he'd be getting table dances and such and that just goes too far.

Y'all nominate some locations and we'll start the poll for where with that. Unless you want to stick to what we got. Then we can just do a poll on dates. In that case nominate some dates.

Give a date their chicken dinner. Throw one out.

Hello there and a "blast from the past". I would relish a time together; camping out with all of you and I hope the wives, children, dogs and such. The time you picked in May has Mother's Day, and most graduations occur at that time. I am very busy because of the college I work at and my vote would be the time after that for a get-together.
Thanks for asking...I am just F.I.N.E. >o< and my life has taken some twists and turns, as some of you may know from FaceBook. I have been studying hard and passed my Wastewater Operator 1, and now I am on to Wastewater Operator 2....but still working with the State of Fucking Connecticut. (Going on eleven years now) I have applied for a Town job, so we shall see. I continue to "lurk" from time to time, and miss the banter and comraderie of y'all. When I need a good belly laugh, I log on! That's my two cents.
