Pulled this off the game camera this afternoon.

This baby doesn't have just a few spots. This thing is still FULLY spotted

This is odd, is it not?

Late season fawn, not that rare around here.
They have a tough time making it through a hard winter.

I saw one like that once in Ohio while scouting for a place to put my stand. I'd usually get up there on Thanksgiving Day (season opens the Monday after T-Giving) so it was very late November. I mentioned it to the local Game Warden and he said it happens from time to time. According to him, if a doe doesn't get bred during the rut, she'll go into estrus every month until she gets bred. So, if it takes her a few cycles, she'd produce a very late season fawn. Not sure if that's true or not, but it kinda makes sense. If so, I assume mama doe must be 'bout as fugly as Cappy! ;)

What JB said. Happens from time to time around here too. I've seen it a few times.
