It didn't show someone going into the water to attach the rope to the car.
Would make a great Honda commercial if they stepped inside, started it up and drove off.
We have that happen around here every now and then, usually it's a snowmobile or 4 wheeler.
A car can come close to being totaled when that happens.

I don't believe there is anything connecting the car to the skids Bubba. It appears they're just using "physics" and the skids like a big "lever" to "lift" the car out as much as "pull" it out. I watched it three times and believe it's a matter of friction, balance and fulcrum point that they're working with. Of course, I could be full'o hot air! ;)
