An email from they system was allegedly sent to your att addy.

Yep, got the email, clicked on the link and it said an email was sent but never received it. it also has a link embedded on the page it sends you to and that's where you get the 'banned forever and ever' message.

and like my FIL used to say Eddie, when you finally smell yourself everyone else has been smelling you for three days!

I have no clue what youse dufes are yappin' about ... but that sounds like the same message I get when I try to view a pic posted on this site with my iPhone. Luckily, I very seldom visit this site on my iPhone, so I keep forgetting to ask about it.

That's what I get Sunny. I haven't bothered with downloading Forum Runner because I very, VERY seldom check the site with my iPhone ... I'm always home or have the laptop with me if we're traveling. I may read the posts from time to time, but do no posting with the phone. My fat fingers and those little keys just don't get along well enough for that. :(

So y'all are saying if you "click" on the NAME above the avatar when using your smartphone you get that goofy banned screen????

I use my iPhone quite a bit on here, and I don't get that. AND I'm not using the Forum Runner.

So, IF you are NOT logged in and click a "Name", you will get that goofy screen.

LOG IN THEN!!!

Also, I find it helpful to scroll to the bottom of the screen and click on "Full Site".

Ha ha! Yeah, that may be it Niner. I also get that message if I try to view a pic posted in a thread. I stay logged in 24/7 on my home 'puter ... when I check in on my iPhone (which is very rarely), I never think about logging in. That sure might help, huh?! I forgot there was even a log-in place up there. I guess the surprising part is the wording. Any way to change it to "Please log in to view complete post" or sumpin' like that? Getting a message saying, "You've been banned and the ban will never be lifted" seems kind'a harsh! ;)

Yeah, that is bad. I do not know how to fix that....but I will look into it!!!
It MIGHT be some residual goofiness from that hack job earlier this year. I'm STILL finding stuff that needs fixing...but can't figure it out.
(The help screen in the Admin CP for one.)

I'm gonna make a new "sticky" about this issue, MAYBE that will help some users.
