So, went fishing on Sunday, was surprised to find this on our boat:

So, I guess we'll be less worried about fog rolling in or getting back before dark (radar). But I've got a lot of reading up to do!

Wonder if it will also slice bread and make us better fishermen?

That is all, except to acknowledge the kindness of partners that are apparently flush with cash! :)

Ha! While we did see markings that should be fish, they were deep and we couldn't seem to hook up - except for one 15" striper that we didn't know was on until we reeled in. Luckily, that one seemed OK as we released it.

Surely there is a setting I will learn like: "Go direct to fish"?

GPSMap 740? Looks like a nice unit. I fell in love with my chartplotter the first time I used it. In combination with radar, it don't get no better on snotty days.
