Parties you side with...

88% Republicans on economic, domestic policy, immigration, social, environmental, science, and healthcare issues.

57% Libertarians no major issues.

16% Green Party no major issues. Click here to see why

11% Socialist no major issues. Click here to see why

10% Democrats no major issues. Click here to see why

I understand why it adds up to more than 100%. Stuff overlaps, and has weight of importance.

I don't understand how I can side with Democrats, Socialists, and Greenies on anything. Thus, the poll is skewed somewhat. A rule of thumb is about all it is.

and my questions are about Arkansas politics. Clearly you are using a California server IP address from work!!!!

I suspect I'd have been further Republican had I moved that bar farther right on some answers.

About 2/3 of the way through I thought "Boy, you ain't all worked up hard about much o' nuthin', are ya?" I was a 'somewhat' most of the time.

Captain, you have to look at it like an IQ test. There's the pack, and then there's the few out front of the pack who know what is what.

I guess this means you're part of the pack. Sorry.

Republicans on domestic policy, science, immigration, economic, social, and healthcare issues. 85%

Libertarians on domestic policy and healthcare issues. 56%

Democrats no major issues. 24%

Green Party no major issues. 11%

Socialist Socialist no major issues. 6%

I did notice there were a few "trick" questions. The "able bodied" welfare question for one. Both the dems and repubs think the same way.

AND....
Agreeing with "the republicans" is not always the "conservative" thing to do.

And I knew that's prolly what you thought! Just pokin'.

Actually this was educational. I'd never really heard of the Green Party other than some stuff I heard from one of my neices who is a staunch Libertarian. So I looked up their Platform and although there's somestuff that's crackpot, there's some real truth(I think) in some ofthethings they say. Here's a link if you're interested. http://www.gp.org/committees/platform/2010/democracy.php#316100

I only listen to history. Reagan tripled the sized of the federal deficit during his tenure and he raised taxes a whole bunch of times. Maybe it was those tax increases that did it.

Debt ceiling is not what we're talking about. we're talking about whose policies added to the debt. Here's the actual data.

BKB

Amount Each President Added to the Debt per Fiscal Year Since 1960:

President Barack Obama: Added $5.081 trillion, a 44% increase to the $11.657 trillion debt level attributable to Bush's at the end of his last budget, FY 2009.

FY 2013 - $672 billion.
FY 2012 - $1.276 trillion.
FY 2011 - $1.229 trillion.
FY 2010 - $1.652 trillion.
FY 2009 - $253 billion. (Congress passed the Economic Stimulus Act, which spent $253 billion in FY 2009. This rare occurrence should be added to President Obama's contribution to the debt.)

President George W. Bush: Added $5.849 trillion, a 101% increase to the $5.8 trillion debt level at the end of Clinton's last budget, FY 2001.

FY 2009 - $1.632 trillion. (Bush's deficit without the impact of the Economic Stimulus Act).
FY 2008 - $1.017 trillion.
FY 2007 - $501 billion.
FY 2006 - $574 billion.
FY 2005 - $554 billion.
FY 2004 - $596 billion.
FY 2003 - $555 billion.
FY 2002 - $421 billion.

President Bill Clinton: Added $1.396 trillion, a 32% increase to the $4.4 trillion debt level at the end of Bush's last budget, FY 1993.

FY 2001 - $133 billion.
FY 2000 - $18 billion.
FY 1999 - $130 billion.
FY 1998 - $113 billion.
FY 1997 - $188 billion.
FY 1996 - $251 billion.
FY 1995 - $281 billion.
FY 1994 - $281 billion.

President George H.W. Bush: Added $1.554 trillion, a 54% increase to the $2.8 trillion debt level at the end of Reagan's last budget, FY 1989.

FY 1993 - $347 billion.
FY 1992 - $399 billion.
FY 1991 - $432 billion.
FY 1990 - $376 billion.

President Ronald Reagan: Added $1.86 trillion, 186% increase to the $998 billion debt level at the end of Carter's last budget, FY 1981.

FY 1989 - $255 billion.
FY 1988 - $252 billion.

Just as a general rule, a rule of thumb, a 'common sense' type of thought..........not hard data or statistics...............can you tell me how a policy of government programs, handouts, bailouts, welfare, war spending (voted in by a democratic congress), ad nauseum.........tax more, spend more, dream up ways to spend more........which is the Democrat Policy in a nutshell.......... could possibly ever reduce spending overall? That's why I shake my head. It is mirrors at best, thievery at worst, and stupid regardless.

W spent too much, and if your memory is worth a spit, you'll remember I said so often. But to keep blaming W is...........man, that's crazy. This current guy is Top Shelf, Major League, World Champion Spender. To deflect that fact off of him, or to try to, is disingenious at best and .......... well, just nuts.

I just don't get it.

Now, I'm out.

I've never brought up W's name once. Captain and I were discussing Reagan's contribution to the whole mess, thank you very much. And I also never said that Democratic policies amounted to much either. My whole point is that Republican administrations have contributed as much (more actually) to the deficit as Democratic ones and this whole argument is an old and tired one.

And for the record you seem to think the entire burden of balancing the budget falls on maintaining restraint on social programs. You don't even mention defense spending or any of the other crap that administrations make priorities to spend money on. Its endless yammering about social programs. Well, conservatives have shit they love to spend money on too that's out of hand. All I'm saying is get over it and look at the facts. The only administration that's done anything at all about the deficit or reforming social welfare or any of your hot button issues is Bill Clinton's. and to say all of that was due to Reagan is revisionist history.

We were actually paying it back quite agressively until bushie junior got elected.

BKB

B) No, I didn't say SOLELY social programs. I listed war. You don't read well for a big reader!

You have more revisionist history than anyone I know. Pot, meet kettle.

I have said over and over and over and over and over, that BOTH PARTIES spend money like water, and it needs to stop. I've even given the analogy of you buying a new fishing boat, so Julie buys a Rent House just to be even. Both parties do that. They need to stop!! Your memory is as short as Thump's Unit.

Well, I did bring up W and I was mistaken. I wasn't mistaken about what a shitty job he did with the deficit though. that's the facts you continue to ignore. And we were talking about Reagan I though.

Oh well. as usual, you all can continue your pity party about how bad this president is doing on the economy and ignore the fact that every republican president in recent memory has actually performed worse on the deficit than any single democratic president, even Jimmy Carter. Do whatever makes you feel good.

HAHAHA.
Your statistics claim Obama's Budget is X percent higher than whomever.........

What a joke. Obama ain't even got a budget!! He won't allow a vote on one!! He spends by Executive Caveat, without any controls. He's the King man.

But he's your king. You're right, I will continue to say he's the Devil, but only cause he is. And I'm about done trying to disprove your statements that I've been 100% partisan............

P.S.
I don't give a rat's ^^^ what previous presidents did. If it makes you happy to prove that your Devil is not as bad as Previous Devils, go for it. I think that is inane (hahaha), meaningless, and chauvinistic. We can't change the past (SOME of us can't even remember it), but we can change the future......but we don't talk about that, we just talk about defending our past heroes.

Bah.
