The Fishing Shed in South Lakeland is closing on Friday.
Owner Mike Kennedy said the shop has been in business for 34 years and the tackle shop, on South Florida Avenue next to A-1-A Auto Parts, is having a big clearance sale.
Kennedy is closing the doors because sales have dropped off and it is difficult to compete with big-box stores that sell fishing tackle.
