Seems that teams from two states who have legalize weed will be playing in the Super Bowl. Maybe it should be added to the list as a PED?

One question, answer it honestly, if it becomes legal would you try it ? (again ?)
I would have to say yes.

We have a VERY prominent attorney down here who is spearheading the movement to get it legalized in Florida. Would I go back to it? In a heartbeat! I'm not afraid to admit, I LOVE pot .... I'm just not stupid enough to get busted and go to jail at my age. IMHO, it beats the heck out of liquor and I'd MUCH rather see liquor made illegal and pot take it's place (not that that would ever happen).

Think about it ... a pot head just sits quietly in the corner REALLY enjoying the music (or most anything else going on around him). He's happy, smiles, stays mellow and simply "chills". With liquor on the other hand, you have drunks who puke on your new sofa, pee in the wifes' flower pot, get belligerent and obnoxious and want to fight everyone at the party before they pass out in your front yard.

As an added bonus ... I don't EVER remember having a hangover the day after a pot party. :D

What about companies who do random drug testing? Their employees are not free to enjoy all of the benefits of living in a progressive state. The company I work for made it clear to the folks in the Denver office that it is still a firable offense.

If I did it would have to be in the form of Brownies. My lungs are toast and I will not even smoke a good cigar these days, and I LOVE a good cigar.

I'm with you Cappy. Nothing wrong with my lungs but I couldn't smoke anything if my life depended on it. Just being around people smoking chokes me. Brownies, yeah I would probably go for those.

Sure, there would be companies that would not go along with it. That's no different than it is now. When I drove a truck, my company had a ZERO tolerance policy for drugs OR alcohol. I was drug/alcohol tested 6-7 times in 2 years. I was afraid to so much as drink a beer during a Sunday NASCAR race if I were going to be driving on Monday morning.

Anyone who can't tolerate smoke might want to try a vaporizer. Smooth, cool and almost scentless. Way better than edibles. :rockon

Whenever I see a guy smoking a ceegar, I automatically think about Bill Clinton, and wonder if the guy smoking it, looks like the type who mighta "dipped" it first. ;)

Nothing wrong with a good ceegar, but just can't help wondering. ;)

If you didn't inhale, than you didn't really try it. It's probably a moot point for me as it would probably just put me to sleep...

All you gotta do is let the gov't regulate it, and let us farmers grow it like any other crop....which we are pretty good at doing.

Give us a couple of growing seasons, and the price would go down to a penny per pound.

I could prolly fill a semi with the stuff, drive to downtown Detroit, sell it on the street corner, and my profit wouldn't pay for my diesel.

Yep, and OUR gov't would prolly be subsidizing them, and sending agri. consultants over there, training them how to grow it !!!

That's exactly what happened in Brazil....we sent hourdes of agri. consultants down there back in the 60's and 70's, and trained them how to grow soybeans....now, they are our biggest competition.

We need to have them send their consultants up here to teach our womens how to do those Brazillians.

You know, the more I ponder having mj legalized, taxed, etc., the less I like the idea. Let's face it, the government could fuck up a wet dream so why would I want them involved in something like this? I watched a news clip the other day where they were discussing the prices of legal pot in Colorado and I was a little shocked at the expense - about double what it sells for here (illegal) plus added tax. This is a good thing?

Another thing is commercialization. I can see it now - Acapulco Gold Filters - no stems, no seeds that you don't need, Acapulco Gold is bad ass weed! Don't need or want General Foods in the pot business.

Just legalize weed and leave it alone.

BarryBobPosthole
01-23-2014, 02:33 PM
It'll never happen unless there's big dough involved. That's the only thing that attracts politicians to an issue. Like blue bottleflies to poop.

"Like blue bottleflies to poop." :lmao Absolutely! It's always about the money, ain't it.

I guess I kinda look at pot the way I look at the internet. Governments are desperately looking at ways to control, manage and tax the internet and I think that's a bad idea. Same with weed.

BarryBobPosthole
01-23-2014, 02:56 PM
Its so easy to grow, I'd imagine it'll have to be high quality and relatively affordable otherwise most people will just grow it. Like homer brewers. Only reason there aren't more of them is good beer is already cheap. Well, I forget, you pay $40 for a case of beer in Canada, but it's cheap here anyway.

Just like moonshine, they'll be folks growing untaxed weed if for no other reason than the romance. The more expensive they make the legal kind the greater the market they'll drive for homegrown.
