My sister and BIL were here last week for a visit and the BIL was so pissed off he had steam shooting out of his ears. Thanks to Mr. Obama, his insurance company is cancelling his company's health insurance. One of his hiring policies has always been to promise free health insurance to anyone who works for him. He's been scrambling for coverage and it appears it's going to cost him a small fortune. He's doing the honorable thing ... he promised free health care insurance for his employees and he's standing up to his promise, but man-o-man, is he seeing red!

Last night we had dinner with our friends who own about 10-12 Subway sandwich stores. The wife's birthday was yesterday ... Lynn's is today and we've traditionally celebrated both their birthdays together. He is also scrambling to find coverage and is also finding out it's gonna cost a bundle. He says his company health care coverage is being dropped on the first of March and he will NOT let his employee's insurance lapse. He said it looks like he's going to have to use COBRA until he can find something. He's hot as a frigging firecracker right now.

Me? I have VA but Lynn has always had a good insurance plan at work. That all changed on January 1st. Until this year, all doctor visits were $20 or $30 for a Specialist. All prescriptions were $15. As of last month, she pays full pop for doctor visits up until she reaches an $8500 limit, THEN a co-pay kicks in. As far as prescriptions are concerned, she pays a "percentage" (not sure what it is). She went to the doctor last week, paid in full for the visit and the doctor called in a prescription to Wally World. She went in to pick up the Rx and was handed a bill for $935 frigging $$$$!! She told them her insurance info was on file there and was told, "That IS with the insurance!!!" She told them to keep it and walked out. I'm not sure what we'll do about the Rx. She NEEDS it, but it's not a life-threatening situation so we're looking for an alternative.

Mr. Obama ... take your health care fiasco and shove it where the sun don't shine, then kiss my mother-fuckin' ass! :angry1

I have many friends who not only lost their specific insurance, the letter they got said "We are no longer in business". No way to put Humpty Dumpty back together.

In the name of Knee Jerk "Let's do something", we've destroyed a great system that worked for many folks, mostly the working class. Now the very rich and the very poor are taken care of (My brother will have free medicare at the age of 54, once he gets out of jail!!!!), and the middle is screwed. Even us Medicare guys got Part D going through the roof in premiums, copays, and most drugs moved to Tier III or IV. I'm paying thousands upon thousands for my required medicines. I used to pay a few hundred.

I said all along, there will be a day, when 85% of "us" realize what this guy has done to us in the name of "raising up the poor". But he'll probably be gone by then. Sadly, even if a conservative replaces him, that guy will get the blame when it truly all hits. Most big corporations' group plans are not greatly affected, but they will be. We all will be. Worse, in 5 years you won't be able to just 'go to the doctor'...........you'll be making appointments with a reducing number of them, weeks or months in advance. This has already started, but will escalate.

Life is good.

Even worse, about 1/2 of America thinks the above is a bunch of bunk, and totally invalid.

Ya'll DO know that Obamacare was designed to fail, don't you???....just another of his plans to bring our house, tumbling down.

Posty and Penguin think it's better than the alternative. I'm sure many folks do.

Heck, the a-hole got ELECTED (and re-elected) because many people thought HE was "better than the alternative". If he really was, this country is in a heap of trouble.

Well.........in 6 years, you'll be begging for him back........sans Obamacare, of course.

Rough ride ahead. Maybe bumpy, maybe real rough. Ultimately, it'll be ugly. I hope I'm dead.

The second time he got elected he was NOT the better alternative. This nation is full self-destructive idiots.

I'm afraid we lose. To steal a quote: "There's more people voting for a living than working for a living."

There is a BIG difference in Whining and what we see as a very real threat to America... And if you don't see it you need to go back to building fishing gadgets and burying your head in the sand.

The people elected a man who was "Not W and Not Hillary". That's what they did. They didn't have a clue.

Most do now. Some are still deep into denial, because they can't abide the alternative.

I still say it's over. I'll talk to you again in mid November, 2016............but I fear I'm right.
